Fee for entry is $35.00 per dog


1st Place  $35    2ND Place $25
Based on a 20 dog field per class-otherwise 50% will be paid

Each bird found
Each bird flushed-(Flushing Class)
Each bird pointed-(Pointing class)
Each bird shot
Each bird retrieved

Rules & Regulations

1) HUNTER ORANGE MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES IN THE FIELD
2) 3 birds per dog will be put out for each brace
3) 2 extra birds will be put out for the first brace
4) A limit of 2 shells per bird will be allowed , to be furnished by hunter
5) In the event of a trapped bird, hunter will forfeit 2 shells
6) Handler must stay where bird is shot in order for dog to get retrieving points
7) A dog picking up a bird and walking towards handler halfway will count as a retrieve for 1 point
8) Dogs must hold point a minimum of 3 seconds to score a point in the pointing class
9) Running will not be permitted at anytime while in the fields and WILL result in disqualification
10) Hunter must stay within the boundaries
11) Training devices are permitted
12) Hunters must stay in designated on deck area, and cannot observe their birds being put out
13) Birds trapped by dogs will count towards tally
14) No dead birds to be left in fields
15) NO SHOOTING OF GAME ON GROUND AT ANY TIME, this WILL result in disqualification
16) There will be a 15 minute time limit per brace. Time will start when dog is unleashed and will stop when dog is leashed
17) Winner will be determined 1st by points, then by time
18) After 3 birds are shot, flushed or pointed, time will stop and hunters must leave the fields
19) In the event of lack of staff, hunters will be permitted to assist in planting birds (excluding their own)
20) The Marshall will have the final call in any unforeseen circumstances
21) Females in season WILL BE RUN LAST
